In normal life, I’m a dog person, but when it comes to video games, I’ve got a real soft spot for bubsy the cat. A new collection of his past games is coming to switch, PS5, Xbox series X/S, PC, and Steam After Being announced by Atari and Limited Run Games. It’s called the Purrfect Collection (Genius) and will feature games from the atari jaguar through to the PS1.

- Bubsy II (Game Boy, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo)
- Bubsy 3D (PlayStation)
In a similar vein to the crocipped on the new Croc: Legend of the Gobbos Remasterthe collection has artifacts and interviews that give gamers a better insight into how the games were made. All eight of the collection (titles for different systems are included for the list above) have had modern enhancements to bring them cicking and screaming into this decade, but they still still true to the original bubsy formula.
Atari even managed to get us a direct quote from bubsy himself – “Here we go again! I’m pawsitively pumped to bring my collection of purrfectly preserved pixels to cool cats everywhere. Hold onto your whiskers and get ready for a glide down memory lane, polyhed and pampered for your player pleasure.
