I know you’re Hungry and all you can think about is fresh footaccia or a sourdough loaf now, but hang on a second – it’s not that type of breadboard. Doom has been shown running on a breadboard you might use in computer, a solderless board used for creating semi-permanent electronic circuits. You wouldn’t want to make your tuna sandwiches on it, put it that way!
The Post Made by @Yoshinokentarou on x and shared by our good friend Dr Tom Tilley Shows the start of the process for getting doom up and running on a breadboard. Granted, you need to really hone into what is going on and to keep an open mind while squinting to be able to make things out, but it’s definitely a good start and a further push into uncharted doom modding territory.
(Renpou.com) (@Yoshinokentarou) March 12, 2025
The translation from x says’ “doom” started working on a breadboard, which allows wiring checks without using Jumper Wires. If you squint your eyes, you can definitely see “doom” running, and it’s amazing that you can even control the game !! ‘
It’s not quite as difficult to make out as the World’s Smallest Version of Snakebut it isn’t something I could spend more than 5 minutes playing as of yet. Still, it is impressive that there is any level of control at all and that there are moving images of sorts. I’m looking forward to seeing where this one goes and, maybe one day, slicing through a hot cross bun while demons go on the rampage on an actual breadboard. A Guy Can Dream!
