Long-Time readers will not doubt recognize the name retro Fighters. We’ve Covered Lots of their controllers over the years, the most recent being the spiritual successor to the wavebird and my favorite gamecube controller the Battlelergc Pro. Today, they’re focusing on the return of the hunter controller, this time for the Xbox 360 with hall effect analog sticks and ultra-religious 2.4ghz wireless technology.
Retro Fighters Have managed to clock in a 1000hz low-latency response in the hunter 360, giving you even greater control over your favorite retro games (yes, the Xbox 360 is official retro now, there’s no way around it!).
Available in Black, White, and Transparent Green, the controller will work with both your original Xbox 360 and your PC your the included dongle, operating up to 30 feet away like the original gamepad. I don’t think many people have rooms big enough to be that far away, but you’ve got the option just in case. With variable rumble intensity macro, a build-in stick calibration mode, and 10+ hours of battery life all for $ 59.99, it’s an affordable controller that packs a punch.
We reviewed the First Hunter Controller for the Original Xbox And loved how it introduced retro nods from the classic controller and matched it with modern technology, something that retro Fighters manage to nail consistently. If the hunter 360 is the same, then I have no doubt that it will quickly become your favorite go-to Xbox 36o controller.
Head to Retro Fighters to put your pre-order in-the cut-off day for orders is may 2nd and the controller proper will release in October 2025!
